Out and about in autumn

Autumn is a lovely time to get outdoors. In Hart van Limburg, you'll find plenty of opportunities for autumn walks through a landscape that slowly changes colour. Put on your walking boots and follow the forest paths, where leaves rustle beneath your feet and sunlight filters through the trees. Here, you have plenty of space to walk at your own pace and stop along the way to enjoy nature.

De Meinweg - Luzenkamproute

The Luzenkamproute through De Meinweg National Park takes you through beautiful woodlands and over drifting sand hills that have created the pronounced differences in height in this part of the national park.

Red Boardwalk Trail

Put on your walking boots and follow the paths through De Peel. On the border between Limburg and North Brabant, you'll discover a remarkable landscape that is still quite marshy in places.

Follow the River Swalm across the border on the Schwalmbruch route. Walk through Groenewoud and Elmpter Bruch, enjoy wide views and discover the recovering natural landscape around an old river channel.

Walk the Huurvaarderspad near Beesel, once used by people transporting timber along the River Meuse. Today, the route takes you through forests and fields, with lovely views along the way.

Start the 9.5-kilometre Dorp & Rivier walking route in the centre of Buggenum. You only catch a brief glimpse of the River Meuse, but you can still feel its importance to the village.
